   Its been a constant battle amongst web professionals between the importance of web design (visual) and web development (code).
At Digital Crate Design Studio, we believe they are both as important as each other.  Thats why our web designers work closely with our development team to ensure the smooth syncronization of both visual representation and compliant code.

Project Sheets
   All of our projects begin with a brief. This short set of questions gives us a snapshot of your requirements, allowing us to draw up and inital project sheet, ready to discuss the finer points of your web site before we move into the design stages.

Proposals
   Proposals are provided at an early stage in the process and offers our perception of your brief.
This is to ensure we understand your requirements clearly, outlines any other considerations and if possible at this stage, a fee schedule.

Designing your Website (visual)
 

Our web designers are maticulous in their detail and therefore the design process can take some time to fine tune.
Initially, and like most other web design companies, we will ask for a shortlist of your favourite websites.
This is purely to gauge the style of website design you like.  Perhaps your favourite style of site is minimalist, perhaps more retro?, this insight helps us narrow the design process for your website and helps us design a website tailored to your taste.
Once we ascertain the styles you prefer, preliminary artwork can get underway.

Developing your Website (coding)
  Ok, so your website has been designed and you are ready for the static artwork to come to life.
Our developers take the design and work their magic, transforming an image of your website, into a functional, compliant and fully working model albeit just the first stage.
We upload the initial page to our servers and send you a link to view your functional web page.
Once you have given us the final green light, we will then proceed to develop and content fill the rest of your website.

Going Live...
  Once everthing is finalised and your website build is complete, your website can then be uploaded to your web hosts.
Perhaps you have taken the opportunity to host your website with us too, or maybe you have just provided us with yout current hosts FTP details, your website can be uploaded, ready for the world to see :)
